Do people search sites provide accurate information?

Some people search sites provide very accurate information. Some don’t. It all depends which site you choose, and whether you’re prepared to pay for the information.

Paid people search sites are generally more accurate than free sites

Generally speaking, paid people search sites provide more accurate information than free people search sites.

Why? Because accurate information is hard to come by. All people search sites source their information from public records databases (police, courts, government departments, etc.). Sometimes that information costs them money, sometimes it takes quite a bit of work to source it, and it always requires them to trawl billions of data records across dozens — even hundreds — of different databases.

Obviously those services aren’t going to pass on the fruits of their labor and investment for free.

Some paid people searches are more accurate than others

The people search sites that get the most accurate information are typically the ones that pay the most for their data, work the hardest and/or have the best systems.

You can’t just look at the site’s prices to determine if they’re the best though. Some people search sites charge more than others simply because they’ve been around longer and are better known. Others charge more because they know customers associate a higher price with more accurate data.

Unfortunately the only way to determine which paid people search sites provide the most accurate information is to test them. Or to learn from someone who has…

Which people search site provides the most accurate information?

We’ve tested a lot of people search sites, and in our experience, BeenVerified nearly always comes out on top.

Search BeenVerified now

We tested all the most popular people search sites by searching for 20 real people whose details we already knew. In almost every case, BeenVerified typically provided more information — and more accurate information — about those people.

For example, in our tests, BeenVerified always provided the person’s current, correct cell number, whereas other services provided only landline numbers. Similarly, BeenVerified always provided up-to-date information about the person’s current and past cars, their current and past addresses, and their social media usernames, whereas the other services often didn’t.

In fact, BeenVerified was consistently more accurate across all data types, in almost every test we performed.
